MOVIE REVIEW | WOTAKOI: LOVE IS HARD FOR OTAKU (SPOILER FREE)

After work, Narumi Momose and Hirotaka Nifuji talk about their otaku interests. Hirotaka Nifuji asks her if they can date, telling her it will be nice to be an otaku couple. I watch this movie just for Kento Yamazaki! I found out about this movie through the wotakoi dance on TikTok lol. I'm not interested to watch the anime because it's not really my taste. But the live action is enjoyable!

The plot starts when Narumi and Hirotaka met at their workplace for the first time. They were old friends. At the workplace, nobody knew Narumi is an otaku except Hirotaka. She tries to hide her true identity because she's afraid people would think she's creepy. Then, Hirotaka starts dating Narumi, but it was more like an otaku partner at first. Later, you guess what happen 👀

I had a great time watching this movie! I don't usually enjoy musical shows and I didn't know this was musical, but I sat through until the end! There was CGI effects which I always find weird in live action movies, but in this one I don't mind. 

I felt embarrassed if people saw me watching this movie xD Because the musical part is a bit over-the-top, imo 😂 Oh by the way, Narumi's singing voice is good, I think she's a singer.

I think Narumi and Hirotaka are cute together. When Hirotaka falls for Narumi and let her do what she loves, I think that's really cute how supportive Hirotaka is :') The cutest part is when he even helped Narumi finish her manga to sell at Comic-con (I think). 

And when Hirotaka tries to love what Narumi loves :'))) To understand and know her better, I just AWWHHHHH 

I cannot relate to Narumi, I don't think somebody will love me as much as Hirotaka loves her 😔 Aside from the two main protagonists, Hirotaka's officemate, Sakamoto, made me laugh so hard in one scene 😂

Overall, I would recommend this to people who normally enjoy japan shows. Because I think it can be weird sometimes (but not in a bad way to me) 😂
